About Us

Wookey Hole is a magical place of caves, legends, and adventure for all ages. It's an experience millions of years in the making with plenty to do inside and out.

Enjoy vintage penny arcades, museums, adventure golf, soft play zones, and of course the famous, beautiful caves. There is plenty to do inside and out, from vintage penny arcades to museums, adventure golf, and soft play zones, to name but a few of the attractions. Not forgetting the breathtakingly beautiful caves, for which Wookey Hole is renowned.

Your visit will take you through eight chambers. Each with a unique beauty and story. You'll also pass our cheese tunnel, home to the delicious Wookey Hole cheese. The cheese is not the only resident of the caves. Over the years, Wookey Hole has been home to giant hyenas, bears, Neanderthals, and many local people. It has even been a site of pagan and Roman worship.

You'll find Wookey Hole holds a surprise around every corner. You might even get to meet our most famous resident, the Witch of Wookey Hole. We have found she most likes to visit during school holidays!

The world-famous Wookey Hole Circus School performs at Wookey Hole at weekends and during School Holidays. Every year over 250,000 people visit Wookey Hole and take home cherished memories of a great day out. Whether it is your first time or your fiftieth, there is always something new to discover. We can't wait to welcome you!

There's two ways to experience the stunning Wookey Hole caves. There's the ordinary sedate way which 99 per cent of visitors enjoy...or there's the Wild Wookey way. Wild Wookey is an award-winning experience that offers explorers and thrill seekers a real challenge. You will descend into places visitors do not normally go as you  crawl, climb and abseil through the underground network.
