About Love Weston
If you haven't visited Weston-super-Mare for a few years, you will find that it is not just our donkeys that have had a spruce up! Millions of pounds worth of development has gone into our resort over the last five years and we are looking better than ever.
As a result, in June 2013 Weston-super-Mare Town Council launched loveweston.com, Weston's first dedicated, official destination website, to promote the town, and highlight it amongst its main competitor seaside destinations.
Acheiving over 700% the predicted growth target by the end of it's first year in June 2014, it is the main portal of information for both visitors and residents of the town. The website is responsive and can be viewed on desktops, laptops, tablets and mobile devices.
We aim to advertise and support our accommodation, attractions, places to eat, shops and all local businesses, as well as being the source of information for tourists and local residents alike. A not-for-profit-venture, all advertising income is generated back into the website and our national destination marketing campaigns to promote Weston-super-Mare to all potential visitors.
Love Weston has undertaken a number of activities to date since its launch in 2013 to grow the awareness of the Love Weston brand, which have included attending group travel and trade shoes, county shows and destination marketing campaigns at Birmingham Airport, Gloucester Quays, Merry Hill Shopping Centre, service stations along the M4 and M5 corridor, Bristol Airport and various publications, such as the official 2015 Rugby World Cup Guide.
In the summer of 2016 a seasonal Visitor Information Centre was opened at the site of the former Tropicana Lido on Weston seafront which will oeprate on a seasonal basis going forward for in-resort tourist information and advice. It is also the location of the First Aid and Lost Children's point.
Love Weston Membership starts at just £50 per year and comes with the benefit of a listing on the destination website and advertising opportunities within the seasonal Visitor Information Centre.
