Uphill Nature Reserve, Weston Woods and Sand Point and Middle Hope are closest to Weston-super-Mare itself, all with lots of activity and adventure on offer. Weston-super-Mare has several well-kept parks offering cafes, play areas and even events throughout the year. Meet the friendly local squirrels at any time of year, and enjoy the floral beauty that has Weston awarded Gold in the South West in Bloom Awards in both 2015 and 2016.
Ashcombe Park, Clarence Park and Grove Park all have superb children's play areas as well as cafes that are open in the high season, generally from Eastertime until the end of September, or occassionally longer if we are experiencing fine weather. There is also the Water Adventure Play Park on the seafront towards Knightstone Island, which is open all year as a play area, but splash pads are in operation again from Easter until the end of September, weather permitting.
