The staff and volunteers of The Helicopter Museum in Weston-super-Mare are gearing up for a very unusual event on 2nd July when the famous aviation attraction hosts a ‘Murder at the Museum’ Day.
"Families who visit the museum will be able to try their hands at amateur sleuthing," said museum Marketing Assistant Peter Michallat. "They will be interrogating a host of suspicious characters, solving puzzles, conducting forensic examinations and hunting for clues to discover the whereabouts of our Curator who has mysteriously gone missing!"
Families who successfully solve the crime will be awarded a certificate when the culprit is finally unmasked at the end of the day.
"We are really looking forward to hosting the event and getting into our respective ‘suspect’ characters" added Peter. "So, if anyone is looking for the chance to unleash their inner Miss Marple or Lt Columbo then the museum is the place to be."
Murder at the Museum takes place between 10am and 4pm on Sunday 2nd July and is an event tailored for the whole family. The mystery is designed so that each family can start whenever they arrive and solve the clues in their own time.
Also on the day there will be a flight simulator, open cockpits and charity stalls.
The Helicopter Museum is a registered charity (no 281053) and houses the world’s largest collection of helicopters along with - for one day only – a very sneaky villain who needs catching!
